“I, like everyone with a heart, have felt despair and helplessness at the reports coming out of Gaza and the West Bank over these last days, months and years. A genocide unfolding in real time on our screens.
I come from a family of pacifists. I have been taught, and I believe, that pacifism is an action. Peace is an action. To live peacefully requires vision and commitment. To act with humanity towards one another, that too is a decision.
Music has taken me around the world, it is the sum of everything I know and trust and believe in - respect, collaboration, shared experience. I am grateful for this opportunity to act in solidarity with the Palestinian people and also celebrate the music and culture from the region. I hope everyone will join us.” - Damon Albarn

Gorillaz performed a one-night-only “mystery show,” which turned out to be a phone-free performance of 10 brand-new songs with no encore.
At London’s Copper Box Arena, Gorillaz have been running a string of shows playing their classic albums front to back, from their self-titled debut to 'Demon Days' and 'Plastic Beach.' Alongside those shows, they teased a "mystery show" at the end of the run.

Fans who attended the event say the new music was sonically inspired by South Asian and Middle Eastern influences, featuring a rumored string quartet, DJ opener, and several new instruments. In a recent interview with the New York Times, Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn stated that the "new Gorillaz record is in four languages.”

I titoli mi ispirano fiducia.
