Mè comparso sulle storie instagram di mute records. Lo trovate su spotify.

OT: che svolta instagram, non so se ho più paura o curiosità. In questo caso ho avuto l'anteprima di tutti i pezzi (15 secondi con instagram stories) che lo so è na boiata ma ti fa capire il peso che gli si da alla musica in generale oggi. Mi sembra che mai come in questi anni le etichette stanno riuscendo ad antrare in contatto con gli ascoltatori, senza filtri, senza le grosse spese pubblicitarie del mondo fisico. Un'altra boiata? Che poi la pubblicità esiste anche sul web da un bel po ovviamente, ma io che seguo la Mute per Arca e Frost, fra le minchiate degli amici trovo anche questo... Nel senso: basta meno per rimanere aggiornati, anzi ti entrano nel quotidiano senza andarli a cercare per forza. Con una minima attenzione questi social possono essere utili.

Altrimenti ascoltatevi copioni che ammodernano il suono di altri, replicanti che fanno sempre lo stesso disco e ci si riuniscono pure per farsi il verso, e roba innocua che può uscire in qualsiasi momento della storia che tanto non sapresti dire di che anno è.

Non è vero, ci vuole di tutto, ma se non si apprezzano i Liars, allora non so cosa ci si merita.

Aaron Hemphill has announced details of his debut solo album, Scented Pictures. Released under the name Nonpareils, these are his first recordings since an amicable departure from Liars in 2016. Nonpareils’ Scented Pictures is out on Mute on 6 April 2018.

Redimetevi voi che avete in casa mezza discografia dei Queens of the Stone Age e non avete neanche un album originale dei Liars.

LIARS (Angus Andrew) has announced a 17-track release, Titles With The Word Fountain, the sequel to 2017's acclaimed album, TFCF. Titles With The Word Fountain will come packaged with TFCF and will be released digitally and on cassette on 21 September 2018, with a very limited orange vinyl edition following on 26 October 2018. The release coincides with Liars' first Australian tour since Angus Andrew relocated there two years ago (further details below).

Titles With The Word Fountain was recorded during the same sessions as TFCF, but this isn't a collection of leftover material or outtakes. Angus explains, "To me it's more like a sequel. I chose the songs that appear on TFCF based on how well they addressed the trauma of a failed creative relationship, whereas the material on Titles With The Word Fountain is more playful despite revolving around the same sentiments."

TFCF was the first Liars release since an amicable departure by founding member Aaron Hemphill, Angus goes on to explain, "There was a lot of pressure in producing TFCF as it was guaranteed to be framed by the lack of band members. With Titles With The Word Fountain I felt stripped of that burden and more free to include work that could be construed as unclear or abstract."

Considerazione stupidamente nostalgica la mia, ma mi mancano le sonorità “da band” che fino all’omonimo erano predominanti. Lungi da me screditare le pubblicazioni successive che ritengo piuttosto valide, specie prima di diventare una one man band.
