Radiohead have said that there will be no sequel to the 'The Kings Of Limbs'.

Speaking on BBC 6 Music, guitarist Ed O'Brian said that rumours that the band have a sequel ready to release are incorrect.

Responding to a question about whether the release of new tracks 'Supercollider' and 'The Butcher' on limited edition vinyl for Record Store Day indicated the band had another album on the way, O'Brien said it did not.

He said: "'The Butcher' is from 'The King Of Limbs' sessions. 'Supercollider' was recorded during that period and finished off after the album came out."

He added: "There are songs that we have started, that we never finished, but there's not like seven or eight finished songs waiting in the wings to be released now, or in the autumn."

There had been speculation that the presence of only eight tracks on 'The King Of Limbs' suggested there would be another album, but O'Brien said that "it's just the way the album is sequenced best" and that "40, 41 minutes is the optimum time we feel for a record".

A margine: posso essere d'accordo sul fatto che 40 minuti sia una durata onesta per un album. In generale sopra i 50 minuti cominciano a poter essere problematici, salvo eccezioni; nel caso specifico dei Radiohead, riprendendo il discorso sulla durata troppo ridotta, confermo che secondo me The King of Limbs è godibile così, che la durata non è tra i suoi difetti.

Mi resta la sensazione che se utilizzassero questo bel suono per creare canzoni (In Rainbows docet), ne verrebbero fuori cose totali.
Non sono brutte, ma neanche memorabili.

A me supercollider piace da morire, mi piace veramente tantissimo. L'altra ancora devo sentirla. 7
Comunque non ho capito perché non le hanno messe direttamente nel disco. Mi sa tanto di presa per il culo...
