Norman Records per William Basinski
PREORDER: 'The Disintegration Loops (Arcadia Archive Edition)' by William Basinski
William Basinski’s landmark ambient series returns in full on 8LP and 4CD box set editions, complete with remastered audio and a foreword from Laurie Anderson.
The widely acclaimed, groundbreaking, and influential collection of four albums is regularly considered as one of the finest works in the ambient, drone, and tape music subgenres, and experimental music as a whole.
We included the original 2012 box set release in our ‘The Best Ambient Music’ Genre Guide feature series, stating “Basinski’s opus became a hallmark in the world of tape music and looping, centring itself on an endlessly repeated, slowly decaying melody and speaking to the aging process of sound”. So yeah, we’re huge fans here and we’re stoked to see it return to physicals for those who’ve just got into it or those who didn’t grab it the first time around.
Released this November through Temporary Residence.

https://thequietus.com/news/aphex-twins ... ed-reissueAphex Twin’s sole album under his Polygon Window moniker, Surfing On Sine Waves, is getting an expanded reissue.
Due for release on vinyl, CD and cassette formats next month (a digital version is already available now), the new edition of the album features three additional tracks: ‘Bike Pump Meets Bucket’, ‘Quoth (Wooden Thump Mix)’ and ‘Iketa’ – all of which featured on the 1993 EP Quoth.
Originally released in January 1993, Surfing On Sine Waves was the second album in Warp’s Artificial Intelligence series, following a various artists compilation. Its release came just a couple of months after Richard D. James put out his classic debut album as Aphex Twin, Selected Ambient Works 85-92.

Ci sono novità che ci siamo persi su questo fronte? Sembra un anno meno carico di provviste

A livello quantitativo forse è come dici, però a livello qualitativo ci son stati vari picchi davvero notevoli.
Djrum, Nick Leon, Los Thuthanaka per me disconi, oni, oni. Poi un'altra manciata di grandi/ottimi dischi. Ho da recuperare un po' di cose ancora però

My dearest friends and fans, starting in 40 minutes is Bandcamp Friday, where the wonderful Bandcamp people rescind their fee for 24 hours. It would be a great time to buy the new Disintegration Loops boxset if they are still available or anything else you like from the back catalogue. I love you and thank you so much for your wonderful support!
