Stanno facendo un tour di interviste promo per la riedizione di Out of Time, evidentemente la Warner è convinta che ci sia ancora potenziale da spremere.
L'ho riascoltato, ed è un album diverso, scomposto, disordinato, ma ad avercene ragazzi. E stavolta ci ho ritrovato Country Feedback, un pezzo che in un best of dei REM effettivamente ci va. Viene prima di altre nello stesso stile, tipo E-Bow the Letter e Blue

ma anche Me in Honey, ottima, anche se non sembra una chiusura canonica. Ma appunto, Out of Time non è certo convenzionale.

Filthy Friends, the supergroup made up of Sleater-Kinney’s Corin Tucker, R.E.M.’s Peter Buck, Scott McCaughey, Bill Rieflin, and Kurt Bloch, have announced their debut album, Invitation. It arrives August 25 via Kill Rock Stars, and accompanied by new single “The Arrival.” Listen to that below. Earlier this year, they released a new song, “Any Kind of Crowd.” That followed their anti-Trump song “Despierta,” which was released as part of the 30 Days, 30 Songs music series.
