Radiohead + The Smile + Thom Yorke

Se ti piacciono certi suoni kraut anni '70 gli Smile sono una goduria. Metti sopra a queste sonorità il songwriting e l'interpretazione di Thom, aggiungici gli arrangiamenti di Jonny, e la formula potrebbe funzionare all'infinito. Detto ciò il disco è tutto bello e tutto compatto, non so se fosse veramente uno svuota hard disk come ha scritto AFX (dal titolo dell'album si direbbe di sì), ma ad avercene di "b-sides" così. Come livello medio i 3 dischi più o meno si equivalgono. Questo è quello con meno "hits". Un apice come Bending Hectic (o pure Teleharmonic per quanto mi riguarda) qui non c'è, ma alla fine dei conti non è un grande problema.

Concordo.
Mi piace l'idea di freschezza e libertà che trasmettono questi pezzi. Mi suonano come estremamente spontanei, nati divertendosi, suonando e basta. E infatti suonano da dio!

questo è uno dei motivi, forse il principale, perché ancora non tornano i Radiohead.
E lui sta sbagliando a tenere il punto, ci vorrebbe tanto poco a prendere una posizione sensata, anche considerando che Israele sta comportandosi in modo simile a Hitler

Resta che di tanti perché proprio lui-Radiohead è puramente casuale

Sarà un intero disco scritto insieme a Mark Pritchard:

"Mark sent me a large file of Mp3s of ideas during lockdown,
There were so many great ones I knew straight away that i had to drop what i was doing.
It felt very much that i had not been anywhere like this before
both as soon as i put my headphones on and started trying to find the vocals, words and sounds,
but also, as it progressed, watching Jonathan respond so freely and spontaneously with all his video and artwork ideas.
It was mental, and i feel lucky to have been involved.
I am looking forward to this finally coming out, Tall Tales is very important to me.

Today Mark Pritchard and Thom Yorke announce their new album, Tall Tales, to be released on 9th May 2025, together with a new song 'This Conversation is Missing Your Voice'.
