L'etichetta olandese shivelight produce e distribuisce. Thanks.

Buongiorno a tutti.

An endlessly deep, devotional headmelt from CC Hennix, recorded in 2014 and channeling a kaleidoscopic passion for Arabic poetry and drone studies alongside Hindustani raga master Pandit Pran Nath = some of the deepest and most transfixing music you’ll likely ever hear.
Deployed across a single 80 minute session, "Blues Alif Lam Mim" features Catherine Christer Hennix's just-intonation ensemble Chora(s)san Time-Court Mirage deploying brass, electronics and voices in pursuit of the transcendent. The piece was written with the intention of highlighting blues music's roots in raga and makam forms and to simultaneously function as a prompt for meditation through a microtonal lattice of drones, accompanied by multiple overlaying voices.
Like we’ve said before about Hennix, her work makes us want to shut our eyes and follow the barely perceptible patterns inside her layered sounds, inducing a pineal tingle of the rarest sensation that feels both spiritual and important, rooted in complex mathematical calculations and yet often provoking a deeply metaphysical response. In a way, it’s the antithesis to Ambient music - Hennix forces you to engage with a kind of visceral intensity that’s daring and hallucinatory, setting out noumenal space for logic-defying feats of imagination and musical virtuosity.
We can’t stress this enough - this is transcendent, transformational music at the deepest level - we implore you to spend an intense hour and a half in its company and succumb to its magick.
