Segnalo che il 12 agosto uscirà 7G, il primo album solista di A.G. Cook, noto per aver fondato la label PC Music e aver prodotto tanta bella roba negli ultimi anni: su tutti Charli XCX.
Il disco è attesissimo e conterrà ben 49 tracce, tra cui vari remix (ci son pure i Blur e gli Smashing Pumpkins tra gli altri).

Questo spacca eh! Sono oltre 2 ore e mezza di musica quindi non è fruibilissimo, però dentro ci sono tantissime gemme.

Ciao, qualcuno super esperto di downtempo e chill out riesce a identificare i due pezzi utilizzati durante questa sfilata dell 1988 ? soprattutto il secondo. Shazam non sa.

William Basinski’s reputation as the foremost producer of profound meditations on death and decay has long been established, but on his new album, Lamentations, he transforms operatic tragedy into abyssal beauty. Captured and constructed from tape loops and studies from Basinski’s archives – dating back to 1979 – Lamentations is over forty years of mournful sighs meticulously crafted into songs. A me é sembrato un po´stanco, lontano dal precedente che aveva molta energia.

Beh sicuramente non sarà il disco dell’anno, ed è vero che l’avrei fatto durare meno proprio a causa di alcuni momenti un po’ fiacchi, ma mi piace la direzione su cui lei ha virato. Questo mi sembra più a fuoco dell’esordio, che non è materiale da cestinare eh, sia chiaro
