Per me loro stanno sul livello dei Foo Fighters quanto a innocuità. Tra l'altro potrebbero essere entrambi molto di più perché sono ottimi musicisti, ma evidentemente non hanno quella sensibilità in più.
E hanno lo stesso pubblico di Ligabue.

Occhio con queste argomentazioni. Sono pericolose perché poi giustifichiamo tutto sull'altare del "sanno suonare".

Ma è ovvio che queste considerazioni si fanno al netto dei loro difetti che ormai sono evidenti e cronici. Nessuno qui dice che hanno scritto un capolavoro, ma comunque per me è positivo che al loro ottavo album si sono saputi reinventare un'altra volta e hanno suscitato abbastanza interesse per dargli un ascolto. Il fatto che non hanno più nulla di originale da dire è chiaro da anni.

Per me il fatto che sappiano suonare molto bene (il che è innegabile) è più un peccato che altro. Se avessero avuto grandi capacità anche in termini di gusto e ricerca stilistica sarebbero stati una grandissima band dei nostri anni. E invece sono molto dozzinali.
Poi possono piacere eh, anche perché sono molto auto-ironici, il che rende tutto più leggero ed accattivante. A me stanno simpatici per dire. Li ho visti dal vivo una miriade di tempo fa, quando ancora facevano dei live sobri e sono veramente ma veramente bravi.

Stavolta mi pare che a parte un paio, manchino proprio le canzoni con buona melodia.
Sanno suonare e lo fanno anche in modo originale, invece. Io non vedo altre band veramente simili a loro in giro. Ormai hanno uno stile Muse che è solo loro.
E' vero che sono anche molto pacchiani, ma volutamente.

The Resistance lo trovo ancora molto buono.
