sono a metà, poca chitarra, molti synth, alcune melodie azzeccate che effettivamente rimandano a The Soft Bulletin.

Non è un capolavoro né un disco dei loro migliori sennò a quest'ora se ne sarebbe già parlato parecchio, però,... però secondo me alla fine ci siamo. Quelle 3-4 canzoni con melodie degne del loro nome ci sono sicuro, forse c'è anche l'atmosfera generale. A me tutto sommato piace.

L'ho letto, ne esce in particolare che Coyne non ama At War with the Mystics
e che Clouds Taste Metallic è forse la conclusione di un percorso. Senza l'abbandono di Ronald Jones (ottimo chitarrista) non avremmo avuto i Flaming Lips che forse hanno avuto più successo, però al contempo è un rimpianto perché quell'album a riascoltarlo oggi è ancora una bomba

D'accordo su Clouds taste metallic, che tra l'altro è un ottimo disco da cui partire per la scoperta della fase 90s dei Flaming Lips, in quanto summa di quel periodo appunto. Però quel che è venuto dopo è troppo superiore secondo me: The Soft Bulletin e Yoshimi sono il meglio e non li baratterei con altro.
Anche Embryonic continuo a sostenere sia un disco spettacolare, con 3-4 brani in meno è un capolavoro.

Se invece dico che i loro anni 80 sono trascurabili sto bestemmiando?

Clouds taste metallic è il mio preferito dopo the soft bulletin.

Su di loro un discography ranking ci starebbe alla grande.

Credo siano finiti con Embryonic che è un grande disco tendente al capolavoro. Avessero chiuso lì chapeau.
Quest'ultimo è innocuo e credo di averlo ascoltato una volta per dovere e non lo ascolterò più.

sì adesso che è uscito Oczy Mlody si può anche fare, fra un po' forse

anche secondo me Clouds è il secondo.
